The SIS Ventures team celebrated at the Enterprise Investment Scheme Association's (EISA) prestigious 2024 EISA Awards on Wednesday 19 June in London.

The EISA Awards spotlight the remarkable achievements within the EIS and SEIS ecosystem, bringing together a diverse group of entrepreneurs, investors, and advisors.

SIS Ventures was delighted to feature in the EISA Impact Award, receiving a 'Highly Commended' award, and were finalists in the Best Newcomer and Diversity Champion awards.

The team were also on hand to pick up awards for investee company, Carcinotech, whose CEO Ishani Malhotra won the Entrepreneur of the Year Award with the company winning in the Best EIS Investee Company category.

Executive Director of SIS Ventures Arran Dewar commented: "We were thrilled to be recognised alongside the many impressive winners on the night, and to be 'highly commended' is a credit to the exemplary work our small team has achieved in the last year.

"It was also an honour to collect two awards on behalf of one of our impactful portfolio companies, Carcinotech and its founder and CEO, Ishani Malhotra."

The awards highlight the role of the EIS and SEIS in nurturing innovation and supporting the growth of emerging startups in the UK. The schemes have been pivotal in positioning the UK as a prime location for business startups, driving job creation, innovation, and economic growth.

This year’s ceremony, marking the 30th anniversary of the EIS, was not just a celebration but a testament to the extraordinary contributions made to the UK’s startup landscape. SIS Ventures extends its congratulations to all the winners who can be found here.
